Objective
The Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) is the leading association for the construction industry. AGC represents more than 26,000 firms, including over 6,500 of America’s leading general contractors, and over 9,000 specialty-contracting firms. More than 10,500 service providers and suppliers are also associated with AGC, all through a national network of chapters.
AGC needed an LMS that would meet their data reporting and administrative needs. In addition to hosting their conference content online, AGC offers a uniquely blended learning approach for many of its courses., Learners are often required to complete assignments online before meeting face-to-face in a classroom. This requirement creates complex data integration problems.
Solution
Web Courseworks provided a one-stop solution for AGC with its CourseStage LMS, which was able to solve these data integration problems as well to integrate the data collected into AGC’s Association Management System (AMS).
Results
AGC’s learners are now able to successfully receive credits toward their American Institute of Architects accreditation. Learners are easily able to compile and access their learning transcripts, including information about courses completed prior to those being hosted on CourseStage LMS. Instructors use CourseStage LMS to assign readings to groups who then meet face-to-face to discuss those readings. Those instructors also use CourseStage LMS to record attendance during the face-to-face class sessions. Web Courseworks worked closely with AGC to ensure that CourseStage LMS’s features were best optimized for AGC’s blended curriculum, and AGC reports that it is thrilled with the results.
