I was excited to be able to spend a few minutes interviewing Tagoras’s Jeff Cobb about his upcoming Learning • Technology • Design (LTD) Conference. Before we get to the interview, a few words about Jeff, Tagoras, and his exciting LTD event.
Since the publication of his book, Leading the Learning Revolution, Jeff Cobb and partner Celisa Steele have built a great business around their Leading Learning brand. There is probably no other individual who has had more impact on professional development initiatives undertaken by national associations and other communities of practice than Jeff Cobb.
Tagoras’s LTD conference will provide a unique experience for attendees. The focus of this conference is to enable professionals in the business of selling professional development to come together to learn from experts in an intimate setting. Intimacy is so important that Tagoras is limiting conference attendees to 150. This “think tank” style will be reinforced by active learning formats like Content Pods, “Ted Talks,” Workshops, and App Labs. Absent from the agenda will be the appearance of a keynote speaker. Instead, LTD features experts who have “walked the talk,” working in the trenches of technology design for national associations.
