Web Courseworks is pleased to be a Silver Sponsor of the 2017 Madison php Conference, which is kicking off on Friday, September 22, with a full day of tutorials on technical subjects of interest to LAMP developers. The Web Courseworks software engineering team has been attending the php conference for the last several years, and it’s been exciting to see the total attendance grow as ever more prominent speakers have been attracted from across the country. This year, Keynote speakers from Slack (Rodney Urquhart) and in2it (Michelangelo van Dam) will be addressing the attendees, along with 21 other notable technical speakers.
The value that the php Conference brings to Madison goes beyond exposing Madison php developers to new technologies and techniques. It also gives the local community a sense of identity, and a great opportunity to network with their peers. The organizers promote that kind of interaction with the format they have adopted, and even have features like a “Free Book Swap” table where developers can exchange books that have lost pertinence to a developer’s project in lieu of something new that they’re interested in learning about.
Web Courseworks is happy to support this event as we grow (and as php Madison grows), and hope to raise the area’s awareness of our development group. We’re looking forward to the tutorials on Friday and Saturday’s talks, and especially look forward to meeting some of the other developers in the area. We’re giving away a 3D printer kit as a door-prize, so be sure to stop by our table to enter.
